About the RoleWe are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Business Lecturer with a specialism in Finance and/or Insurance to join a college in Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or industry professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of business professionals.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical lessons across business-related programmes, with a focus on finance and insurance topics. You will support learners to build both their theoretical understanding and real-world knowledge of the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Business, with a focus on Finance and/or Insurance.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons that support learners of varying abilities.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment.
- Support students in developing industry-relevant knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- A degree or relevant qualification in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Industry experience in finance, banking, insurance, or a related sector is highly desirable.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience teaching in further education, higher education, or training environments is desirable.
