£168-£232 per day (DOE)

Academics, a leading education recruitment agency based in Stoke-on-Trent, is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Science and Maths Teacher for a fantastic Secondary School in Leek. This is a long-term teaching opportunity starting in April 2026.

Job Responsibilities

• Science and Maths Teacher across Key Stage 4
• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Creating a positive learning environment and supporting student progress
• Working collaboratively within a supportive department
• Upholding high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in a Science or Maths-related subject
• Strong subject knowledge
• Good behaviour management skills
• Experience teaching the UK curriculum (desirable)
• A commitment to raising attainment and inspiring learners
• Able to commute to Leek on a daily basis
