POSITION SUMMARY The Sales Manager Eastern Australia is responsible for managing a team of sales professionals across Victoria, NSW and Qld to achieve and exceed sales targets. The sales manager is responsible for coaching and developing the team in the sale of Terex MPS Crushing and Screening, Terex Washing Systems, Terex Recycling Systems and ProStack products. Additionally, the sales manager will lead the Quarry market segment on a national level, to drive engagement across all levels of the customer organization to position the national sales team to maximise opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and develop the sales team to meet sales targets and KPIs. Actively participate in the machine sales process. While pursuing new machine sales, also seek sales for aftermarket parts and maintenance services. Establish and implement marketing plans to maximise sales opportunities. Update and maintain databases to ensure the branch systems accurately reflect machine owners, customer purchasing history, customer calls, potential sales opportunities, and information about competitor activities. Develop a sold working relationship with customers to understanding their business, identify opportunities for future sales and ways Terex Jaques can add value to their business. Set-up and maintain effective customer call plans for the sales team. Oversee all sales promotional activities, including exhibitions. Prepare formal tenders and quotations for the sale of new machines. Review sales contract documents and liaise with Terex legal to ensure conformance with Terex requirements. Assist prospective customers with the preparation of technical specifications and strive to have Terex nominated as the preferred supplier. Identify and satisfy training needs for sales team. Educate customers on products, service, warranties, and technical support available from Terex Jaques. Follow sound commercial practices in all negotiations with customers and potential customers, ensuring compliance with Terex procedures. Work to quickly resolve all disputes related to the sale of products that would otherwise delay payment for that work. Establish open channels of communication with key people in other Terex locations and draw on their knowledge and expertise to assist you in your work. Accurately prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and sales reports. Actively engage and participate in the relevant industry bodys activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Outside of standard work hours contact due to the seniority and nature of this role there is (or maybe) a degree of reasonable out of hours contact. Reasonable contact may include but not limited to meetings, emails and phone calls where required, which may be scheduled or urgent. The compensation for this role accommodates these requirements. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education / Training Bachelors degree in related field or appropriate combination of education and experience. Experience 5 years of progressive professional experience. Hands on operational experience in large equipment sales, maintenance and product support. Experience within the mineral crushing and screening industry preferable. Skills Ability to accurately prepare budget, forecasts, sales quotes and contracts. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships within internal and external customers. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Sound negotiation skills and ability to lead commercial negotiations. Computer literate in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and experience with Pronto would be well regarded. Travel This position will require some travel….
