Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Stock & Inventory professional as they look to recruit a Stock Control Manager for their site in Worcester.
As Stock Control Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day recording and monitoring of stock, ensuring employees are motivated, working safely toward a common goal and maximising productivity.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage all aspects of the count PI cycles, in line with Company guidelines.
- Manage the replenishment/buying of depot stock ensuring adequate availability to meet Customer demand, avoiding overstocking and any stock write off (related to chilled buying but not exclusive).
- Manage ghost stock daily in line with HUB credit processes ensuring no value carried over into 4 weeks.
- Ensure all stock adjustments are completed after daily counts.
- Monitor daily stock loss reports in line with daily budgeted stock loss, to identify and highlight positive / minus stock adjustments and work collaboratively with wider teams to reduce damage and ensuring cost and customer availability KPI’s are met.
- Provide daily / weekly / monthly stock loss by type reports to Warehouse and Transport operational managers in a timely manner.
- Lead a team and create an engaging environment encouraging direct reports to drive performance through a balanced approach of recognition and managing performance against agreed KPI’s.
The Ideal Candidate for Stock Control Manager
- Experience managing stock or inventory within a warehouse or distribution environment – someone who understands the concepts of warehouse environment and the controls such as goods in, goods out, stock rotation.
- Strong leadership capability – someone who can set standards, develop people and build a motivated and accountable team.
- A proactive mindset that looks beyond day to day activity and identifies opportunities to improve how the stock team works.
- Confidence working cross functionally with warehouse, transport and commercial teams.
- A dynamic individual with curiosity, drive and the desire to continuously improve both the team and the wider operation.
- IT savvy, who is capable of using data, both in terms of technical IT skills and the ability to interpret (they’re two different things).
