Principal Asset Management is seeking a Senior Director, Global RFP Services & Content Strategy to join our Client Experience leadership team in London. This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape the next generation of our global, AI‑enabled RFP and content capability, supporting growth across public and private markets within a leading global asset manager.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a global team delivering best‑in‑class consultant database, RFP, and DDQ responses across the full lifecycle—ensuring accuracy, consistency, quality, timeliness, and exceptional service.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative team culture, driving performance, accountability, and talent development.
- Own the global roadmap for RFP and content platforms (e.g., RFPIO/Responsive), content hubs (e.g., Seismic/SharePoint), data integrations (CRM/BI), and AI‑enabled workflow assistants.
- Build strong feedback loops with Institutional Sales, Wealth/Intermediary, and Consultant Relations teams to enhance win rates and improve consultant database coverage.
- Develop and govern a single source of truth across Q&A, product information, performance narratives, and market views—including a proactive content strategy for private markets in partnership with Product and client teams.
- Design and oversee a global follow‑the‑sun operating model with clear SLAs, resource allocation, escalation processes, and quality controls across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
- Build global analytics capabilities that surface client themes, competitive insights, and product opportunities, providing data‑backed recommendations to senior leadership.
- Implement responsible generative AI and retrieval‑augmented workflows to improve cycle times, scale expertise, and maintain compliance through human‑in‑the‑loop governance.
- Partner with investment teams across public and private markets to deliver high‑quality, client‑focused content and support a culture of learning and investment acumen.
- Represent Principal and Client Experience at key internal and industry forums, staying current with market and technology trends that shape RFP excellence and client expectations.
- Make strategic decisions across hiring, development, rewards, and capability building—including upskilling the team in AI literacy, investment knowledge, and consultative storytelling.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in financial services or asset management across investment, product, marketing, or client‑facing teams within a global or matrixed organisation.
- Minimum five years’ leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of both public and private markets products and structures.
- Experience supporting institutional clients and consultant‑driven requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, simplify complexity, and lead through change.
- Skilled in decision‑making, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, communication, and project leadership.
- Experience with platforms such as RFPIO/Responsive, Seismic, Salesforce, Power BI/Tableau is advantageous.
- Ability to coach and develop teams while overseeing both strategic direction and day‑to‑day execution.
- Multilingual capability and experience working across Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions are beneficial.
