Contracts Manager

A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Cladding Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple façade and cladding packages across a portfolio of major construction projects.

This is a key role within the building envelope team, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of cladding packages from procurement through to installation and completion. The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of façade systems and will be confident managing subcontractors, programme delivery, and client coordination on large-scale developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple cladding and façade packages across major projects
• Manage subcontractors delivering curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, SFS systems, and external façade elements
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure buildability and compliance
• Work closely with design teams, consultants, and client representatives
• Monitor programme, cost, and risk across assigned projects
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards, and façade performance requirements
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with project teams and senior management
• Support procurement and package management of façade subcontractors

Requirements

• Proven experience managing cladding / façade packages on large construction projects
• Background working for a main contractor, façade specialist, or Tier 1 contractor
• Strong technical knowledge of building envelope systems including rainscreen, curtain walling, SFS, and insulation systems
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex construction programmes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality assurance processes

Qualifications (Desirable)

• Construction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• Façade or building envelope training beneficial
