Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

A leading financial markets technology firm is looking for a Test Analyst to join its QA team, helping ensure the quality and reliability of trading platform releases and upgrades.

Working closely with Development, Product, and Operations teams, you will be responsible for testing both front-end and back-end components of complex financial systems, ensuring high-quality releases across new features, upgrades, and bespoke client projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases across trading platform applications
• Test front-end and back-end functionality across multiple environments
• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and validate solutions
• Manage defects, track issues, and ensure fixes are properly validated before release
• Support the wider QA team in improving testing processes and expanding automation coverage

Requirements

• Experience testing complex software systems within financial markets environments
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and SQL databases
• Understanding of the full software testing lifecycle and QA methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured testing approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within fast‑paced environments
• Experience with test automation frameworks for web applications
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments
• Experience testing real‑time systems or WebSocket-based applications
• Knowledge of financial markets products such as equities, derivatives, or fixed income
