Our client are an e-commerce scale‑up organisation who transform marketing for international manufacturers and brands. The use of machine learning allows online retailers to optimise their digital marketing.
The What?
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Lead who would be joining in a critical time of this scale‑ups existence. Being the needs and size of the organisation this will initially be for someone who is happy to get their hands dirty from a coding perspective, be adept from a solutions and technical architecture skill set as well as having experience to deliver critical, e‑commerce led projects.
The core focusses of this role:
- Hands on experience coding with Python
- Software Engineering Leadership & management of a multi faceted technical team (8+ engineers, devOps, etc)
- Strong experience in implementing and leading Agile processes – with a special focus of tying engineering teams cross continent to an effective Agile process.
- Thought leadership & future focus when it comes to the use of technology.
- R&D mindset as well as effective execution on big ticket technology initiatives such as Microservices, Cloud migrations, scalability etc.
- Ideally coming from a technical hands on background with an ability to empathise and motivate the engineering team.
- Experienced in talent identification and recruitment of engineers – while also fostering a culture of high performance in the software engineering teams that you have worked!
