Our client, a leading London‑based hedge fund, is seeking a hands‑on Lead Windows Engineer to design, build and own their core Windows infrastructure. The successful hire will work closely with security, engineering and operations teams to ensure a robust, reliable and high‑performing Windows estate across the organisation.
This is a greenfield, high‑performance environment where your architectural decisions will have both immediate and long‑term impact. The organisation is heavily invested in Windows‑based endpoints and requires someone who can drive standards, resilience and modernisation end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise‑grade Windows infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Own Windows 11 and Windows Server configuration, lifecycle management, deployment, patching and troubleshooting.
- Architect and manage Entra ID (Azure AD), hybrid identity and domain services.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive architectural decisions that support scalability, operational resilience and security best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in Windows Infrastructure Engineering within a complex enterprise environment.
- Expert‑level knowledge of Azure, Intune, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
- Strong experience configuring, managing and deploying Windows 11 and Windows Server.
- Strong IaC skills including PowerShell and familiarity with Microsoft Graph API.
- Proven ability to engineer scalable, secure, high‑performance Windows environments
