Job Overview

To be considered for this Event Account Manager role, we are looking for candidates that are working as an Event Manager within an integrated, events or experiential agency or client‑side executing a variety of event types. You will have experience delivering different types of events from incentives, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, meetings, product launches and team building as well as building client relationships, developing strategic relationships with suppliers, while overseeing and executing flawless delivery. You will have outstanding attention to detail, a can‑do attitude and flare for creativity, and be able to work through a budget confidently and on varied lead times. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Provide quarterly updates, event debriefs, and manage incoming briefs.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to grow accounts and secure new business.
  • Lead full event delivery for projects under £500k, from concept to completion.
  • Oversee venue sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Produce and manage event project plans, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Handle event logistics from briefing to financial reconciliation.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and adherence to financial processes.
  • Negotiate costs with vendors and clients to optimised profitability.
  • Coordinate delegate management using industry‑standard tools.
  • Travel as required for onsite management and client meetings.
  • Work with creative teams to develop event concepts and communication plans.
  • Collaborate with external PR teams when necessary.
  • Support the Account Director in implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within new and existing clients.

Location

This is a UK hybrid role with the base being either London or Halifax. Candidates must be flexible in terms of working from home, an office location and event locations.

Qualifications

Skills and Attributes

  • 4+ years experience in Event Management and strong project management skills.
  • Experience with the RFP process; creating detailed proposals and event briefs, client pitching and detailed cost sheets supporting account growth and opportunities.
  • Experience delivering incentive trips, managing exhibitions and producing conferences as well as traditional event types.
  • Experience sourcing and communicating with suppliers globally.
  • Solid understanding of global venues, alongside excellent research skills.
  • Proven experience with detailed budget reconciliation and budget management.
  • Confident managing large scale budgets and event forecasts in multiple currencies.
  • Demonstrate outstanding time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to adapt a ‘can‑do’ and flexible attitude.
  • A creative and organised mindset, and ability to prioritise.
  • Ideas driven and able to bring new creative concepts for delivery and execution.
  • Delivering exceptional delegate experience with an above and beyond attitude.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the team, but also thrive working independently.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
