Estimating Coordinator (Aerospace / Manufacturing)

Join a fast-paced Commercial team in a key coordination role, supporting estimating activity and customer enquiries from initial RFQ through to order placement. You’ll interpret customer information such as drawings and Bills of Material, help shape bid responses, and set up the early-stage manufacturing plan in Kinetic MRP/ERP.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers on RFQs and general queries, providing timely updates and clear status reporting

  • Log and manage enquiries within the ERP/CRM process, keeping bid registers and customer records accurate and current

  • Review technical and commercial details from customer packs (drawings/specifications/BOMs) and support quote preparation

  • Build high-level manufacturing routings and BOMs, including entering set and run times within Kinetic MRP/ERP

  • Coordinate materials, tooling, associated goods & services (AGS) and outsourced processes as required to support accurate estimating and planning

  • Complete contract reviews for new and repeat orders, ensuring documents are controlled in line with the company QMS

  • Work closely with engineering, production and suppliers to resolve issues and confirm the most practical method of manufacture

  • Support quality and customer complaint activity (e.g., NCR/RCCA actions) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Provide cross-department support (including purchasing workflows) when required to maintain business continuity

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing coordination role within manufacturing (aerospace is advantageous)

  • Confidence understanding engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements

  • Strong ERP/MRP skills (Kinetic preferred) plus solid IT capability and data accuracy

  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines

  • Clear communicator, proactive problem-solver, and a collaborative team player.
