TimePlan Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire from April until the end of the academic year. This is a full-time position supporting pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and has a strong background working in specialist SEND settings.
The Role
Full-time teaching role starting in April and continuing until July (end of the academic year)
Based at a specialist school in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire
Teaching pupils with ASD, PMLD, and SLD
Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists
Creating a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to support individual development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Previous experience working in an SEND school is essential
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, PMLD, or SLD
Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
