Provide overall management of the Directorate (c.£35m) and specifically implement a cost saving plan as part of a reorganisation.

Develop and implement the strategic plan for the department.

Deliver rapid success in meeting targets for improved services and cost savings.

Establish specific improvement projects within the framework of the new strategic plan.

Oversee processes and the performance management program, incorporating Statistical Process Control methods to ensure that change and savings are achieved and maintained.
