Job Description
The Head of Business Development will play a critical role in shaping and executing MOKE’s growth strategy. Having appointed retail partners (dealers) in 5 core markets we are now expanding using an omnichannel approach. Primarily, we are looking to engage and incentivise rental partners in new locations in the EU and US, before launching in Australia and the Middle East, in 2026. Alongside this we are looking to get more involved high growth rental opportunities with hotel and resorts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent strategic thinking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and market expansion.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential markets, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant retail partners and start building out the car rental business.
- Grow, manage and motivate a best-in-class Sales and Business Development team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Retail Network, Aftersales, Marketing and Product Development, to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and report on business development performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development and sales within the automotive industry, with a track record of driving growth and achieving targets.
- Addition al experience within car rental, hospitality, tech, or a dynamic start-up, is a bonus
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills (including negotiating contracts)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
