We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary and secondary schools across Leeds who are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join them from September. Whether your degree is in Psychology, English, Maths, Counselling, Literature, Fine Art, or a related subject, your knowledge and enthusiasm could have a real impact in the classroom.
Whether you’re interested in Primary or Secondary education, we’ll work with you to find the right setting to match your skills and career goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, or subject-specific learning
- Supporting students with SEND or additional needs (training provided)
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Gaining valuable school-based experience ahead of a career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, SEN, or youth work
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (2:2 or above)
- A genuine interest in working with children or young people
- A proactive, patient, and reliable approach
- A willingness to learn and develop in an educational setting
- Experience with young people (tutoring, volunteering, coaching, camps, etc.) is beneficial but not essential
