Finance Business Partner

Sowena Group is partnering with a private equity–backed engineering business in Manchester to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a 6-month temporary to permanent contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, commercially focused organisation and play a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, the successful candidate will provide high-quality financial insight and support across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Production and ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Managing cashflow forecasting and monitoring working capital performance
• Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
• Acting as a finance partner to operational and engineering teams, providing financial insight and challenge
• Delivering variance analysis and identifying opportunities to improve performance
• Supporting strategic planning and ad-hoc financial analysis

Candidate Profile

• Qualified finance professional (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong background in management accounting and commercial finance
• Experience working closely with non-finance stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed or growth environment
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
