About the Role

An international organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Reward to provide senior leadership and continuity for a 12 month period. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing global reward strategy, ensuring robust governance, smooth delivery of annual reward cycles, and high quality advisory support to executive stakeholders.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a central Reward function and act as the organisation's primary expert on compensation and reward matters. This opportunity is ideally suited to a credible, pragmatic senior Reward professional with a background in complex, multi-region businesses and a track record of effective interim leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior reward subject matter expert for executive and People leadership.
  • Maintain and steward the organisation's group reward strategy and compensation philosophy.
  • Lead and develop a global Reward team.
  • Prepare reward papers and insights for Board and Remuneration Committee meetings.
  • Oversee job architecture, global pay frameworks and benchmarking approaches.
  • Ensure consistent, fair reward application across multiple regions while allowing for local nuances.
  • Partner closely with HR leadership to support reward-related programmes and initiatives.
  • Lead governance and implementation of annual salary review, bonus and incentive cycles.
  • Oversee executive compensation analysis and market positioning.
  • Ensure effective use of market data to maintain competitive reward structures.
  • Uphold strong controls, approvals and reporting across all reward processes.
  • Maintain oversight of compensation systems.
  • Drive high standards in operational reward delivery, analytics and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with People Systems, Finance, Legal, Global Mobility and external vendors.
  • Monitor external market and regulatory developments, including EU pay transparency requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven senior reward leadership experience within complex, international organisations.
  • Deep technical expertise in compensation, governance and reward operations.
  • Strong experience advising senior executives and influencing at the highest levels.
  • Solid understanding of EU Pay Transparency regulations.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven and commercially astute.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation modules advantageous.
  • Familiarity with RemCo-related processes desirable.
  • Able to balance strategic direction with hands‑on delivery.
  • Collaborative, calm under pressure and skilled at navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • High levels of integrity, judgement and discretion.
