Main Duties

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for a range of clients including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Preparing and supporting the completion of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
• Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Providing bookkeeping services and maintaining accurate financial records
• Using accounting software to record and process financial transactions
• Assisting with gathering and analysing financial information to support reporting and decision-making
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service
• Providing general administrative support to the team where required

Experience

Ideally, you’ll have:

• You will have completed your AAT Level 3 and be looking to continue your studies.
• Previous experience of working within a practice environment is essential.
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new IT skills quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy, and an eye for detail.
• Outgoing, socially confident with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Takes the initiative, ability to prioritise, and meet deadlines.
• Professional and team orientated in approach.
• Analytical, methodical, and numerical.
