We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Cards Sales Manager.
In this strategic sales role within Global Payments Solutions, you will proactively identify and pursue new market opportunities, develop tailored proposals, and lead complex sales cycles from origination through to successful onboarding. Working within a dynamic, matrixed environment, you will collaborate closely with product, implementation, and relationship teams to deliver seamless client experiences and maximise revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Originate and drive new card business opportunities by identifying, targeting, and converting high-potential prospects, with a focus on expanding HSBC’s market share and revenue streams
- Develop and execute a robust sales pipeline for card products, leveraging market intelligence, competitor analysis, and innovative go-to-market strategies to deliver ambitious growth targets
- Lead complex sales negotiations and close high-value commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and maximising long-term value
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients, positioning us as the partner of choice for card solutions
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations to design and deliver compelling, client‑centric card propositions
Qualifications
- Proven track record in generating new business
- Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and pitches to both senior internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in building and managing complex relationships with major clients
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences and adapt communication style
- Proven track record in understanding customer needs and delivering outstanding customer service
