Job Description: To manage all on-site structured cabling activities on a construction project, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth delivery of all copper and fibre installations, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day site operations for structured cabling installations.
- Run and coordinate multiple teams of engineers on-site.
- Attend client and contractor meetings as required.
- Manage permit control and toolbox talks.
- Conduct PPE inspections and daily task briefings.
- Deliver weekly Health & Safety site inspections.
- Extensive knowledge of copper & fibre installation systems.
- Competent in copper & fibre fault finding.
- Understanding of shielded cabling systems and proper earthing procedures.
- Create and manage patching schedules.
- Proficient in using Fluke test equipment and LinkWare Live.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction sites.
- Strong technical knowledge in structured cabling and fibre optics.
- SMSTS Certification (or equivalent) (Required).
- Manager-level ECS Card (Required).
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional, proactive, and confident in managing teams and client relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across multiple platforms. xwzovoh
