Test / Integration Lead – Baggage Handling Systems – 12mth FTC, Australia

Location: Queensland Australia (work is on site) (Open to those willing to relocate)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 12 months, extensions possible

We are looking for an experienced Test & Integration Lead to support the delivery and commissioning of automated baggage handling systems within a major airport or logistics environment. This role has a 100% on site requirement.

In this role, you will lead the testing, validation, and system integration of PLC-based control systems, ensuring seamless communication between automation equipment, software platforms, and airport operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead system testing and integration activities for automated baggage handling systems
  • Develop and execute test plans, FAT, SAT, and commissioning procedures
  • Coordinate integration between PLC controls, SCADA/HMI systems, and airport IT systems
  • Work closely with controls engineers, software teams, and airport stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot system issues and manage defect resolution during testing phases
  • Support system commissioning and operational trials

Requirements

  • Experience testing and integrating large-scale automated or material handling systems
  • Experience with airport baggage handling systems
  • Have a background in engineering
  • Strong understanding of PLC-based control systems (Rockwell experience beneficial)
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms and industrial networks
  • Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning
  • Ability to work within complex multi-vendor integration environments
  • A desire to relocate to Australia on a short notice
