Flexographic Printer

£41,140 overtime 12-hour rotating shifts offering an excellent work/life balance Wigan, Lancashire

We’re working with a well-established flexible packaging manufacturer in Wigan, supplying major UK food retailers and operating as part of a large international group with a strong focus on sustainability, quality and long-term careers.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Lead Flexographic Printer to take ownership of print operations on shift.

 

The Role

  • Set up and operate wide-web flexographic presses to optimum performance
  • Lead print operations on shift, ensuring safe working and high-quality output
  • Monitor print quality, troubleshoot issues and minimise waste
  • Carry out press changeovers and run to KPI targets
  • Ensure compliance with BRC, ISO and environmental standards
  • Complete paperwork, electronic records and shift handovers
  • Work closely with Technical and Quality teams when required

Experience on Fischer & Krecke 16S or Bobst 20SIX CI presses is highly advantageous.

 

About You

  • Fully trained Flexographic Printer (NVQ / City & Guilds advantageous)
  • Strong experience in flexible packaging or labels, ideally wide-web
  • Confident with solvent-based inks
  • Experience overseeing others on press
  • Quality and safety focused with a manufacturing mindset
