You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our innovative systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and to specification directly contributing to successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be the face of OAL on customer sites, working closely with Project Managers, engineering teams and production teams to commission automation systems within food manufacturing environments. Based in Peterborough, the role involves regular travel (approx.As our Commissioning Engineer you will: Perform on-site commissioning activities in line with project requirements. Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to deliver systems on time and to spec. Build strong customer relationships, ensuring minimal disruption to production during commissioning. Provide training on systems and applications to customers. Create and maintain all commissioning documentation. Identify and troubleshoot faults, including implementing and testing modifications. Ensure all activities are executed safely and in line with company policies and risk assessments. Support agreed budgets, timeframes, and project constraints. Key Experience & Skills Essential Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with IT systems including Windows, networking and SQL. Previous PLC experience. Proven commissioning experience in an industrial or automation environment. Understanding of food manufacturing processes. Full UK driving licence.
