We’re looking for a highly organised Stock Control & Purchasing Coordinator to play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.   This will position will involve working approx 30 hours onsite for our client in Coventry. The client is flexible on the days and hours worked by the candidate.   You’ll be at the heart of our supply chain—making sure stock levels are accurate, purchase orders are timely, goods flow efficiently in and out of the business, and the stores environment is safe, tidy, and well-organised. If you enjoy working with systems, suppliers, and physical stock—and take pride in accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving—this could be a great fit.What You’ll Be Doing Stock ControlMaintain accurate stock records and inventory levels across the businessOrganise stock locations for efficient storage and easy retrievalManage batch-controlled and expiry-dated stock in line with proceduresIdentify and isolate obsolete, damaged, or faulty stock using quarantine processesSupport regular stock counts and auditsPurchasing & Purchase OrderingRaise purchase orders for stock replenishment and ad-hoc requirementsMonitor stock levels and run weekly reports to ensure uninterrupted supplyLiaise with suppliers on availability, pricing, and delivery schedulesTrack purchase orders and proactively chase overdue deliveriesMaintain accurate re-order levels within the ordering systemBuild and maintain strong working relationships with suppliersProcess supplier invoices and support purchasing administrationGoods InReceive, inspect, and verify incoming goods for accuracy and conditionBook goods into the system in line with Goods In proceduresReport shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptlyPut stock away efficiently and safely in designated locationsPicking, Dispatch & Goods OutAccurately pick items against sales orders, works orders, and service requestsFollow established picking and dispatch proceduresPackage goods securely and prepare them for courier collectionCoordinate with couriers to ensure timely despatchFlag and report any picking discrepancies or shortagesHealth, Safety & HousekeepingMaintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environmentWork safely and responsibly at all times, following health, safety, and environmental standardsWho You’ll Work WithInternal teams across production, operations, and financeExternal suppliers for purchasing and deliveriesCourier partners supporting goods despatchWhat We’re Looking ForSkills & ExperienceExperience in stock control, stores, or warehouse operationsUnderstanding of purchasing and purchase order processesHands-on experience with goods inwards and dispatchStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to follow procedures and meet deadlinesConfident communicator with both internal teams and external suppliersPersonal AttributesReliable, well-organised, and methodicalProactive, with a practical problem-solving mindsetComfortable working independently and as part of a teamCommitted to health, safety, and quality standardsCompany benefits26 days a year, plus statutory public holidays, with an additional day per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 extra days/yearAnnual Leave can also be booked on an hourly basis.5% Contributory Group Personal Pension Scheme.
