Warehouse Operative – FLTStead House Distribution CentreHours of work: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm.Total Hours Per Week: 40IntroductionAn exciting opportunity to be part of our successful Superdrug Supply Chain; working within one of our busy Distribution centres as a Warehouse Operative. This vacancy is for the Savers DC know as Stead House Distribution Centre; based in Darlington. The hours of will we be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all other shift patterns.  Why SuperdrugWith over stores; we aim to deliver the BEST; The right product, in the right place at the right time; delivered at unbeatable cost, through a skilled and committed Supply Chain Team.  Role Purpose: The Reach Forklift Operative is responsible for operating a forklift truck to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other roles within the warehouse. You will need to be customer focused where you will maintain optimum levels of stock in both storage and pick slots working to set KPI standards. The role will report to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.  A typical day in this role includes: Storing stock from Goods In  Replenishing stock via stock allocation system  Taking waste to the baler  Assisting with stock taking   Working with required KPI standards  Maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area  Staying aware of possible hazards  Harness training will be provided to allow the operator to work at height to complete stock takes and to help when a driver has a pallet out  This job is a good fit for you if: You enjoy working at a fast pace in an everchanging environment  You can work with minimum supervision   You’re honest, reliable and dedicated  You have developed a keen attention to detail with the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy   You have a good attitude and aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills   You remain calm under pressure   What you’ll need:  Flexible approach of performing other duties within the warehouse as requested by your line manager  The ability to drive a forklift truck safely and efficiently   Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work on your own High level of numeracy  Good hand-eye coordination  Good communication skills  Knowledge of the safety procedures regarding the use of Reach forklift trucks.  Always demonstrate and maintain a high level of health and safety awareness around the warehouse, ensuring own safety and the safety of others.
