Job Description:

EDP, part of the RSK Group, is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Safety Consultant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior professional seeking career progression, a pathway to chartership, and the chance to develop into a role of Principal Designer Building Regulations (PDBR).

You will provide high-level CDM and construction safety consultancy across a range of projects, ensuring risks are effectively managed from design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and deliver CDM & safety consultancy services
  • Develop and review Pre-Construction Information, Design Risk Registers, Construction Phase Plans and H&S Files
  • Chair Design Team Meetings and ensure design risks are captured
  • Review RAMS and high-risk work activities
  • Undertake site safety visits and produce reports with corrective actions
  • Attend client and site meetings and produce technical reports
  • Develop risk assessments and client-focused safety solutions

About You

  • Senior experience as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction risk management
  • Excellent project management and client-facing skills
  • Ability to communicate regulatory requirements clearly
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to travel and occasionally work away from home
