Valuation Director – London Commercial Valuation Team

My client, a leading nationwide consultancy, is seeking a Valuation Director to join their London Commercial Valuation team. The role covers a broad range of commercial valuation work, with a strong focus on Central London and the South East, delivering advice for loan security, financial reporting and general advisory purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake valuations of high-value commercial assets, including prime Central London properties.
  • Produce clear, accurate RICS-compliant valuation reports and sign them off.
  • Manage valuation instructions independently while working closely with the wider commercial team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, lenders, funds, developers, local authorities and public sector clients.
  • Build and grow a strong professional network both internally and externally.
  • Support and mentor graduate surveyors through their APC.

The Role

  • Work alongside fellow Directors to maintain best practice across the team.
  • Operate with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Play an active role in supporting the firm’s wider strategic objectives.

Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with valuation software such as Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer and KEL.

  • Strong commercial property background.
  • Pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and data management capability.
  • High-quality report writing and communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the RICS Red Book. Collaborative and resilient approach to work.

Background & Qualifications

  • Proven track record in preparing RICS Red Book valuations for lending, corporate reporting and advisory purposes.
  • Strong commercial valuation experience is essential (residential exposure is welcomed but not required).
  • MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer status.

Salary: Up to £100,000 basic + car allowance + bonus and benefits
