Senior Product Manager for Credit and Purchasing Experience – International
As a Senior Product Manager for Credit and Purchasing Experience on the International team, you will be a critical player for enabling customer purchasing experiences across Affim’s expansion in new international markets. You will work closely with a broad set of cross‑functional teams across the entire business, as well as a number of engineering teams. Effective stakeholder management and ability to successfully navigate organizational dynamics are a must for success. You should be commercially minded, be high agency with a bias towards action, and comfortable having technical conversations and opinions.
What You’ll Do
- Drive the execution, growth and scale of Affim in the United Kingdom for credit underwriting and the corresponding purchase‑experience interfaces.
- Drive credit and purchase UX strategy and success metrics and see through to execution impact that meaningfully moves the needle for Affim’s business and customers.
- Understand Affim UK users and merchants at a deep level – what’s important to them, what drives their decision‑making, why they love Affim, and what they wish we could do better.
- Drive our product expansion to new markets in the credit and purchase‑experience domain, bringing the best of Affim’s existing approach paired with local market needs.
- Partner closely with engineering teams across the organization to drive product development and prioritization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Revenue, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, etc.) to shape your product roadmap and incorporate legal, governance, and regulatory oversight into your products.
- Identify and create the experiences that make it seamless for merchants to deliver an incredible buy‑now‑pay‑later experience to consumers.
What We Look For
- You’ve directly managed technical software products from kick‑off to post‑launch and driven meaningful business impact that you can speak to.
- You have experience working on consumer technology products in the UK or Europe; bonus points if it is a fintech product, even more if it is a BNPL product.
- You’re equally comfortable diving into technical details with an engineer, iterating on a Figma with a designer, and breaking down a funnel with a data analyst.
- You have the discipline, organisational skills, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to navigate complex organisational dynamics – you have specific examples of times when you’ve secured a decision from a broad group of senior stakeholders.
- You’ve worked in an environment where you were reliant on engineering teams outside of your direct purview and were able to effectively influence them to prioritise and build what you needed for your product.
- You’re the kind of person who cares about getting things done. You have a bias towards action and can effectively navigate obstacles and blockers.
- You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into a solid action plan.
- You have direct experience shipping high‑quality products on time.
