Overview of Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager for a high-priority, six-month contract supporting a major financial services account. This role is centered on delivery and project management, specifically requiring a strong Scrum Master background. The successful candidate will act as the daily bridge between technical teams and the client, ensuring seamless execution within a fast-paced, highly governed, and political environment. This is a hybrid role based in Central London, with a potential path to permanent employment.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Delivery: Manage the daily operations of technical teams (10–15 people) and maintain constant communication with client stakeholders.
  • Agile Leadership: Serve as the Scrum Master for the account, facilitating ceremonies and ensuring the team stays on track to meet sprint goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate highly political environments and complex governance structures typical of Tier-1 financial institutions.
  • Project Oversight: Drive project timelines and deliverables without needing deep technical coding expertise, focusing instead on feasibility and execution.
  • Communication: Present complex updates clearly to clients, ensuring all parties remain aligned on project scope and progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7 to 8 years of overall professional experience, with a mandatory 3 to 5 years specifically as a Scrum Master.
  • Industry Background: Proven experience in consulting is required. Prior experience working with financial institutions is highly preferred.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing delivery teams of 10 to 15 people.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional comprehension and communication skills; ability to remain focused and concise in high-pressure presentations.
  • Logistics: Must be able to work a UK shift schedule and commute to the Central London office a minimum of 1 to 2 days per week (Hybrid).
