Desian Education is proud to be working with a caring and inclusive primary school in North Liverpool , who are seeking a One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil with autism . This rewarding role offers the chance to provide consistent support and help a young learner build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Your Role Will Include:

Providing one-to-one support for a KS1 pupil with autism

Supporting social, emotional, and communication development

Working alongside the class teacher and SEND team to deliver tailored strategies

Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning experience

Using patience, consistency, and encouragement to promote progress

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children with autism (in school or other settings)

Be calm, empathetic, and resilient

Understand the importance of routine, sensory needs, and clear communication

Be confident in building trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Have a proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting individual needs
