Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced SMART Repair Technician to join our client’s busy bodyshop in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled cosmetic repair specialist to work within a professional workshop environment, delivering high-quality repairs to a wide range of vehicles.
SMART repair roles in the Stoke area typically offer £35,000 basic with OTE around £42,000, depending on experience and bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out SMART repairs including paintwork, bumper scuffs, scratches, and minor dent removal
Prepare vehicles for paint and cosmetic refinishing
Mix and match paint colours to manufacturer standards
Repair minor body damage to panels, trims, and alloy wheels
Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Follow manufacturer and health & safety guidelines
Requirements
Previous experience as a SMART Repair Technician, Paint Sprayer, or Cosmetic Repair Technician
Strong knowledge of paint processes and repair techniques
Ability to complete high-quality repairs from start to finish
ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential)
Full UK driving licence
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
