Your new role

Are you a skilled and experienced, multi-skilled joiner / carpenter in Swindon and surrounding areas who are looking to make a real difference? Our client is seeking 2 dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality repair and maintenance services that support their mission of providing safe and affordable homes.

Key responsibilities and oues include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver high standards of work, relevant joinery
  • Carry out secondary trade activities (Multi) within acceptable quality standards to support KPIs for a first time fix, such as plastering, basic plumbing etc…
  • Provide outstanding customer service and contribute to achieving operational performance targets.
  • Accurately record and report operational activities followingpany and legislative procedures.
  • Assess risks before work and follow strict Health and Safety measures to protect yourself, customers, and colleagues.
  • Maintain the condition and appearance of thepany vehicle to meet regulatory andpany standards.
  • Keep accurate van stock records to ensure materials are well-stocked.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and plant machinery are maintained, certificated, and defects reported promptly.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures carefully, identifying and reporting any concerns related to customer safety.
  • Key Oues:

  • Consistently delivers high-quality services aligned with customer service standards.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of near misses and RIDDOR accidents.
  • Meeting or exceeding Guinness Property KPIs for first-time fix repairs.
  • Achieving key performance and productivity goals.
  • Increased customer satisfaction through reliable and professional service delivery.
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners to resolve operational challenges.
  • Proper identification, documentation, and referral of safeguarding concerns to Tenancy Enforcement.
  • This role is mobile within Swindon and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate must live within 20 miles of Swindon. Hours: Full-time: Mon-Thurs: Fri: Salary: £36,838 per annum On call is required – 1 in 4 : Out of hours rota: £525 per week when on call

    What you’ll need to succeed

    The ideal candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 (City& Guilds) in Joiner or Carpentry and have at least 2 years’ experience in this trade. You must also holdpetence in an additional trade.All candidates are subject to full referencing and a Basic DBS if successful. Essential for this role:

  • Confidently demonstratepetency within the joinery /carpentry trade
  • Strongmunication
  • Hold various multi-trade skills and experience, sufficient toplete repairs, first time fix
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems, seeking any advice required.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines
  • Ability to operate safely having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
  • Desirable skills for this role:

  • Experience of working within the social housing sector
