    Senior Care Worker, Cwmbran, ££15 per hour

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Agency Senior Care Worker to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults in a residential settings in the Cwmbran area. As a Senior Care Worker, you will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of person-centred care that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of our service users. This role requires a skilled and dedicated individual with a strong passion for care work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional care and support to service users, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using manual handling techniques and equipment
  • Administer medications accurately and safely, following strict guidelines and protocols
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans, in collaboration with service users, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Mentor and support junior care staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high standards of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care plans, medication administration, and incident reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Medication administration training and experience
  • Proven experience in a care setting, preferably in a senior or leadership role
  • Manual handling experience and training, with the ability to safely lift and transfer residents
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
