Contract Manager (Construction) – Luton

Newstaff Employment is hiring a driven and experienced Contract Manager in Luton to take full ownership of contract performance across construction projects; in this role, you will lead negotiations, control commercial risk and drive project delivery from start to finish.

Location: LutonSalary: £50, – £70, per annum (negotiable depending on experience)Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pmJob Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire contract lifecycle; therefore, you control preparation, negotiation, execution and closeout
  • Review contract documentation in detail so you protect commercial and legal interests
  • Negotiate terms directly with clients and subcontractors to secure favourable agreements
  • Monitor live projects closely; as a result, you ensure full compliance with contractual obligations
  • Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies before issues escalate
  • Manage disputes and claims proactively through structured negotiation and clear communication
  • Maintain organised, accurate contract records to support audits and reporting
  • Stay up to date with construction contract law and industry regulations so you maintain best practice
  • Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing contracts within the construction sector
  • Strong working knowledge of construction contract law and commercial frameworks
  • Demonstrated success negotiating high-value agreements
  • Confident leadership style with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset and decisive problem-solving skills
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills
