Overview
Contracts Manager – Residential Development. Location: West Sussex. Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits. An established residential developer is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a number of housing developments across West Sussex and the surrounding area. This is a senior role responsible for managing multiple live sites and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard of quality.
The successful candidate will have proven experience operating at Contracts Manager level within a residential housebuilding environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for the overall delivery and performance of several residential developments.
- Work closely with Site Managers and build teams to ensure projects meet programme targets, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of multiple residential developments across the region.
- Manage and support Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers across several live sites.
- Monitor construction programmes and site progress to ensure targets are met.
- Carry out regular site visits, inspections and progress meetings.
- Ensure developments meet company build quality standards and NHBC requirements.
- Work closely with commercial, technical and sales teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identify and resolve programme, quality or resourcing issues across sites.
- Report site performance and progress to senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager within residential housebuilding.
- Track record of managing multiple housing developments simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of traditional residential construction methods.
- Excellent understanding of NHBC standards and construction quality requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support multiple site teams.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
