The Opportunity

Finatal are partnered with a fantastic mid-market private equity investor who are looking to add a new junior to their world class team. This is an opportunity for a 1-2 year investment banker to pivot to the buy-side and learn from the best. They have a fairly flexible strategy, but generally focus on buyouts. Super generalist re sector. They have a fantastic track record, great deal flow and wonderful culture.

The Role

• Analysing and executing on investment opportunities in the European mid-market (end-to-end involvement on deals).
• Sourcing: market research/industry analysis to identify attractive trends/themes. Maintaining relationships with advisors.
• Working across all diligence workstreams, including producing financial models.
• Assisting in the preparation of IM materials for investment committee.
• Portfolio monitoring and supporting management teams with value creation strategy.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with management teams.

The Requirements

• 1-2 years at a top-tier boutique or bulge bracket investment bank (M&A).
• Strong modelling skills and a developed commercial acumen.
• An exceptional academic track record.
• The ability to work independently and in a team.
