Overview

Synechron is looking for an experienced Technical Programme Manager to work with a leading global bank, who is committed to innovation, operational excellence, and delivering transformative technology solutions. The role will involve leading complex initiatives across Platforms Technology, with a focus on enhancing Developer Experience and integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, technical colleagues, and senior stakeholders to ensure programmes are aligned with business objectives, delivered on time, and provide measurable value.

Role

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical programmes within the Platforms Technology landscape, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities
  • Drive initiatives to simplify and enhance developer pipelines, enabling more efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery
  • Incorporate AI solutions into existing platforms to automate, optimise, and innovate core banking processes
  • Partner with architecture, engineering, security, and product teams to define clear programme scope, deliverables, and success metrics
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and issues, proactively implementing solutions to ensure successful delivery
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to articulate programme strategy, progress, and impact
  • Oversee financials, resource planning, and governance, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Facilitate communication across diverse teams and ensure stakeholder engagement and buy-in

Experience

  • Proven track record managing complex technical programmes within the banking or financial services industry
  • Extensive experience with platforms technology, cloud solutions, and software development pipelines
  • Demonstrable expertise in streamlining developer workflows and implementing AI-driven innovations
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and security standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to lead multiple workstreams, manage risks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Long term contract inside IR35 – x3 days in Birmingham or Sheffield office – Strong market rates
