Location: London
A leading fintech firm specialising in ultra-low latency trading technology is looking for a QA Test Engineer to help ensure the reliability and performance of its market access gateway (MAG) and pre-trade risk control systems.
You will work closely with engineering teams to design and execute manual and automated testing strategies, ensuring that mission-critical trading software performs reliably before release. This role sits within a fast-paced environment where performance, accuracy, and exchange compliance are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated tests for low-latency trading and exchange gateway systems.
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for FIX 4.2 / 4.4 messaging across equities and derivatives.
- Validate exchange order lifecycles, market data dissemination, and trade execution for protocol and venue compliance.
- Test market access gateway and pre-trade risk control functionality.
- Identify, analyse, and triage issues, working closely with developers to resolve defects quickly.
- Support automated build validation and regression testing within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Contribute to rapid troubleshooting and quality assurance processes across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements
- Experience testing low-latency or high-performance trading systems.
- Strong understanding of FIX messaging and exchange order lifecycles.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to rapidly triage production issues.
