A leading fintech firm specialising in ultra-low latency trading technology is looking for a QA Test Engineer to help ensure the reliability and performance of its market access gateway (MAG) and pre-trade risk control systems.

You will work closely with engineering teams to design and execute manual and automated testing strategies, ensuring that mission-critical trading software performs reliably before release. This role sits within a fast-paced environment where performance, accuracy, and exchange compliance are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual and automated tests for low-latency trading and exchange gateway systems.
  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for FIX 4.2 / 4.4 messaging across equities and derivatives.
  • Validate exchange order lifecycles, market data dissemination, and trade execution for protocol and venue compliance.
  • Test market access gateway and pre-trade risk control functionality.
  • Identify, analyse, and triage issues, working closely with developers to resolve defects quickly.
  • Support automated build validation and regression testing within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Contribute to rapid troubleshooting and quality assurance processes across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience testing low-latency or high-performance trading systems.
  • Strong understanding of FIX messaging and exchange order lifecycles.
  • Experience with automated testing using Python or C++.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to rapidly triage production issues.
