Overview
The Cleaning Supervisor role is based at HM Naval Base Portsmouth, PO1 4QT, and reports to Sodexo. You will oversee cleaning services to create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for personnel on site, contributing to their quality of life.
Details:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday 06:00 – 15:00. However, you may be required to work hours outside of these according to business needs, including evening and weekends.
- £13.21 Per Hour

Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Maintain cleanliness in offices, kitchens, toilets, and communal areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Manage inventory and order supplies like cleaning products and consumables.
- Champion health and safety practices, conducting regular safety checks and reporting hazards.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to your team to ensure their success and well-being.
- Deliver excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning or a supervisory role, with knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- A team player who takes direction and supports others.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
- Full UK Driving License with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
