Quantitative Developer – Python | Production Engineering & Observability

We’re supporting a leading global quantitative trading firm looking to hire a Python‑focused Production Engineer to strengthen the observability, stability, and operational automation behind their live trading systems. This role sits at the core of production reliability and real‑time system insight.

Role Overview

  • Own and evolve the production observability stack: metrics pipelines, logging systems, distributed tracing, alerting
  • Build automation for deployment, monitoring, incident handling, and operational workflows
  • Improve runtime reliability, system health, latency monitoring, and fault detection across distributed trading systems
  • Instrument production services for deeper visibility, debuggability, and performance insight
  • Collaborate with researchers, developers, and platform teams to ensure smooth, stable production operations

Requirements

  • 3-12 years’ Python experience in production environments
  • Deep Linux/Unix experience, including low‑level debugging and performance tooling
  • Proven ability to build reliable, observable, highly available distributed systems
  • Bonus: experience with low‑latency pipelines, market data, exchange protocols, or SRE principles
