About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Digital Lead/Engineer to join our dynamic Building Services design team in Plymouth. You will play a key role in developing and managing Building Information Models across a diverse range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading role for the innovation in digital construction, contribute to strategic development of BIM standards, and work within a forward-thinking environment that values technical expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
We operate an agile working policy, but please note this opportunity will require attendance within the office for at least 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team coordinating and implementing BIM processes across for the building services sector.
- Develop, manage, review, interrogate, advise upon and maintain both internal and external project-specific BIM Execution Plans.
- Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure model accuracy and coordination.
- Implement BIM standards and workflows in line with ISO 19650.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Support digital construction initiatives and contribute to innovation in design delivery.
- Lead and maintain asset data environments for projects including gathering data, attending asset data meeting with clients and delivering final asset data files throughout the life cycle of a building services design.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in BIM modelling using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols (e.g. PAS 1192, ISO 19650).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as BIM 360 or ProjectWise is a plus.
- Experience with asset data environments for public sector clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in digital delivery.
- Relevant qualifications in architectural technology, engineering, or digital construction, with additional BIM certifications being advantageous. (not mandatory)
