Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus

Salary: Grade 7 from £40,757 to £47,921 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £52,067 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution (pro-rata if part-time).

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Permanent

Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Student Data Operations Officer to play a pivotal leadership role within our Academic and Student Administration directorate. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a data‑rich environment and is motivated by improving processes, enhancing service quality, and supporting colleagues across the student lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Student Data team, managing workloads, supporting team development, and ensuring the delivery of efficient and accurate student information services.
  • Oversee and continually improve programme setup and maintenance processes, ensuring that programme data is consistent, high‑quality, and aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Brunel’s fees matrix, including annual updates, system configuration, and quality assurance.
  • Act as a key point of expertise for complex fee queries and maintain compliance with sector‑wide regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, support strategic planning through data insights, and work collaboratively with colleagues across academic and professional services areas.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience in data management, process improvement, and working in a data‑rich environment.
  • Capability to lead a team, manage workloads, and drive service quality.
