Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Technical System Analyst to support our Credit Risk Data team. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, with a focus on data documentation, lineage tracking, and preparing our data ecosystem for AI-driven capabilities. The ideal candidate will work within agile pods to capture requirements, write user stories, and ensure robust documentation across our data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for data initiativesWrite clear, actionable user stories and epics in Jira to drive development workDocument end-to-end data lineage to ensure traceability and complianceSupport the migration of data processes from on-prem (Netezza, SSIS) to AWS cloudCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines and systemsCollaborate with developers, SMEs, and stakeholders within agile pod structuresEnsure data assets are properly catalogued and formatted for AI/ML readinessParticipate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectivesMust Haves:
Technical:
2-4 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar roleStrong understanding of data concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousingWorking knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validationFamiliarity with data lineage concepts and tools (e.g., Manta)Understanding of on-prem to cloud migration concepts (SSIS, AWS Glue, Redshift)Tools & Environment:
Proficiency with Jira for writing and managing user stories, epics, and sprint boardsExperience working in Kanban or Scrum agile methodologiesFamiliarity with documentation tools and standardsSoft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsCollaborative mindset with ability to work across cross-functional teamsNice to Have
