Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Baby Room Leader, located in Gloucester. The Baby Room Leader will be responsible for ensuring the safety, care, and early education of children in the nursery’s baby room. Key day-to-day tasks include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising and supporting a small team of staff, maintaining strong relationships with parents and carers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in childcare, early years education, and supporting developmental milestones
- Proficiency in team leadership, staff supervision, and effective communication
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, safeguarding, and nursery policies
- Relevant childcare qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, and first aid certification
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children
- Previous experience in a leadership or childcare role is highly desirable
