Overview

Talentmark is recruiting for a R&D Manager to join a company in Materials Manufacturing industry at their site based in Longridge, Preston on a permanent basis.

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of specialist materials, which includes a wide range of Composite Materials, Electrical Insulations, Mica Products and a wide range of Textile Products.

Location

The role is based at our client’s site near Preston

Responsibilities

• To lead and coordinate the research, development and technical services function across all site competence
• Liaise with your team, Sales, Production Planning, Production Management, Quality / HSE, Maintenance and Purchasing by providing technical support for any new or ongoing development projects.
• Contribute as necessary to the design/formulation of new products
• Identify new materials and technologies available in the market

Qualifications

• Masters degree or a PHD qualification in a science related subject, such as chemistry, applied chemistry or material science.
• Accomplished senior manager within a complex manufacturing environment, working within a technical or research and development function with responsibilities for tecnical support, new product or process development.
