Preparing and portioning chicken, lamb and pork to high retail standardsServing customers at the counter, providing advice and tailored cutsMaintaining clean, safe and well-organised preparation and display areasKeeping counters, cabinets and fridges well stocked and attractively presentedSupporting daily operations alongside the Head Butcher and wider teamAssisting with additional meat processing when required at the nearby unitWhat you’ll bring to the table as a Retail Butcher

Previous experience preparing fresh meat within a butchery environmentStrong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniquesExperience working on a retail meat counter or in customer-facing butcheryKnowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe meat handling practicesAbility to maintain product quality and presentation in a busy shop settingWorking hours 45–50 hours per week, typically between 6:00am – 7:30pm across rotating early and late shifts.
