Overview

Site Security Manager position based in London. The role oversees the security operations for a client’s London site, a leading US‑based technology company. The position supports maintaining safety and security of employees and visitors, upholding the Securitas values of Vigilance, Integrity, and Helpfulness.

Pay: £50,000 to £57,000 per annum. Hours: 45 hours Monday to Friday with flexibility as needed. Grade: 6.

What you’ll be doing

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and support the onsite Securitas security team; ensure all officers are briefed, trained, and prepared for duties; role‑model the core values and culture of Securitas and the client; promote a positive and professional image.
  • Operational Management: Oversee scheduling, TimeGate duties, and holiday planning; manage attendance and support performance management; conduct audits for contractual and operational standards; coordinate security requirements for ad‑hoc onsite events; oversee escort duties, access control, badging, CX, and new hire security requests; support initial incident response with thorough reporting; maintain strong communication with client management and onsite stakeholders; collaborate with the embedded Physical Security Manager to develop and enhance the security programme; deliver service levels meeting or exceeding contractual KPIs; participate in relevant meetings and ensure clear communication; provide accurate information to support decision‑making and work independently.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA licence (SG/DS).
  • 3–5 years’ leadership/management experience within security, military, or law enforcement.
  • Experience in Corporate Security or within the technology sector.
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history.
  • Willingness to undergo pre‑employment screening, including drug screening and background checks.
  • A people‑centric leader who understands their team and proactively develops skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure or in unusual circumstances.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse social and cultural contexts.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, report writing, email communication, and proposal drafting.
  • Professional demeanour with the ability to independently contribute to security operations.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities, plans, and schedules.
  • Proven experience in critical decision‑making, risk management, and incident management.
