An exciting opportunity to join an independent, award-winning boutique asset management firm that currently manages four UCITS funds with c.£200m AuM. We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our London-based team, working alongside two fund managers and our senior analyst. We are value investors investing in listed equities and undertake detailed research on company fundamentals with a particular focus on asset-backed companies such as investment trusts/companies and REITs.
Investment Analyst responsibilities
- Carry out detailed fundamental analysis of existing and prospective investments
- Monitor key sector news announcements
- Attend potential investee company meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Create, maintain, and monitor database of potential investments
- Create and maintain financial models
- Provide acquisition and disposal recommendations to fund managers
Education, Skills and Experience required
- Either qualified (or part-qualified) accountant or CFA or 1-2 years of relevant financial markets experience at a buy-side or sell-side firm
- Strong Microsoft Excel with general Microsoft Office skills
- University educated
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Salary will be in the range of £45k – £65k depending on experience and qualifications with a discretionary bonus plus benefits package.
This is an on-site role, requiring office attendance 5 days a week.
