Jenson Fisher is delighted to be partnering with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Grangemouth to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to join a supportive and growing practice, working with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, and supporting clients with their ongoing accounting and compliance needs. You will work closely with senior members of the team while also mentoring junior staff where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries
- Supporting partners and managers with client work and ad hoc projects
- Assisting with the training and development of junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
About You
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a varied workload
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work
