Overview
This Technical Sales Advisor is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. Our Hose Division designs, specifies, and supplies a full range of industrial hose solutions for sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, marine, and construction. From high-pressure offshore assemblies to bespoke hose configurations, we ensure every product meets high standards of safety, reliability, and performance. We also produce custom-built hose assemblies with testing and certification for customer confidence. This role will be the go-to expert for complex and non-standard hose requirements, combining technical expertise with commercial awareness to create accurate, profitable quotations and deliver end-to-end customer service. This is a dynamic role where no two enquiries are the same; you’ll manage customer requirements via phone, email, and internal systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at every step.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate technical advice on hose products and assemblies
- Read and understand customer drawings and technical specifications
- Prepare accurate quotations and orders using our SAP system
- Deliver excellent customer service through phone, email, and internal systems
- Support with promotional activities and customer feedback processes
- Work collaboratively across teams to meet customer needs and business goals
The ideal Technical Sales Advisor will be/have
- A willingness to learn and be curious about how things work and enjoy problem-solving
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Is organised, accurate, and eager to take on new challenges
- Previous knowledge or experience using SAP would be beneficial
- Track record of great customer service is essential
